His death record identified his father as Ward Richmond [identified as Alexander Patterson Ward Richmond here].

Mr. [Everitt Hiram] Brundage's father, Hiram Brundage, was born in Canada, came to the United States when a boy and first settled in Indiana. He came to this state in 1863 and has ever since been in the west. During Indian war times he was telegraph operator at Bridger, driving through the country under the escort of soldiers and assisting in getting the first telegraph line through to Salt Lake City. It was he who established the Dillon Tribune, one of the leading newspapers of Montana. Now retired, he resides in Lower California, and enjoys universal respect. The mother, whose maiden name was Elizabeth Holiday, married in Pennsylvania and died in Virginia City, Montana, where she is interred. There were five children in the elder Brundage family, the subject being next to the eldest. The remainder are located as follows: John is married and resides in Beaverhead county; Anna, now the wife of Thomas Shaw, resides in Madison county, 

Montana; Adelaide is married and makes her home in the state of Washington; an infant sister, Elizabeth, died at the age of two years.

Hiram Brundage died in 1914 in California.

Below is the biography of Barzillai Richmond from the Richmond Family book. Was his possible participation in a famous incident not known when this biography was written (ca 1896)?

The Gaspee Organization makes the case that Barzillai Richmond (and his son and son-in-law)  participated in "the 1772 burning of the hated British revenue schooner, HMS Gaspee, by Rhode Island patriots as America's 'First Blow for Freedom'TM."

343.  (COLONEL) BARZILLAI RICHMOND (5) (William 4, Silvester 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born in Little Compton, R.I., April 13, 1721, and died January 5, 1796.  He married in Providence, November 24, 1743, Sarah, daughter of Ebenezer and Elizabeth Knight, who was born November 21, 1718, and died October 10, 1791.

He was one of the seceders from the First Congregational Church on account of Josiah Cotton preaching "damnable good works."  He was in the Canada War during two campaigns, and in 1755, and afterwards was ordered to raise a body of men and proceed to the relief of the British Colonial Army on Lake Champlain.  He contracted a disease in one of his legs which made him lame for life.  He was at the siege of Ticonderoga under Dalrymple, as Colonel; he was not, however, in the storming party.  His brother William, of Little Compton, was with him as volunteer lieutenant.

At one time he received orders late Saturday night.  He repaired to his minister's, and had an appropriate sermon preached on Sunday morning; opened a rendezvous for enlistment in the afternoon, and in the evening, with a large company, was on his march.  Of the four companies to be raised as a reinforcement to go against Crown Point under Major-General Johnson, he was captain of the fourth company, and was Lieutenant-Colonel in 1758 and 1760.  He also held various municipal, civil and State offices.

Barzillai Richmond's name was listed in the Report on the formation of the Society for Providence Society for Abolishing the Slave-Trade, published in the Thursday, Feb. 26, 1789.  His name was also among petitioners for the establishment of a university (Brown University).

6052.  GEORGE W. RICHMOND 8, (William D. 7, George 6, Edward 5, Perez 4, Silvester 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born in Riga, Monroe County, N. Y., March 16, 1834.  He married, March 13, 1864, Ada J. Cole, at West Bloomfield, Mich.  He enlisted in the Tenth Michigan Infantry, November 1, 1861, and served three years.  He re-enlisted in the spring of 1864, as a veteran, receiving a furlough of a month; he was married, then returned to his regiment, which was stationed in Tennessee.  He was then appointed Corporal, and for meritorious conduct promoted to Lieutenant, and was killed at the battle of Jonesborough, Ga., September 1, 1864.  They had no children.  His widow married subsequently.

In 1860 George was living in Groveland, Oakland County, Michigan, with his father William, age 52, and mother, Betsey, age 52.

Ada J. Cole was living with her father, Nathan Cole, and stepmother, Adaline (Richmond) Cole, in West Bloomfield, Oakland Co., Michigan, in 1860.  Ada married 2nd Frederick Lewis Roat on December 26, 1866.

George W. Richmond was a Mayflower descendant, as were all descendants of Silvester (3) Richmond.

Elsie Avaline (Richmond) Richardson & Family

5448.  ELSIE AVALINE RICHMOND 8 (Adam 7, Preserved 6, Adam 5, Stephen 4, John 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born November 13, 1820, and died at Paw Paw, Mich., March 7, 1894.  She married, January 21, 1839, Noble D., son of Marvin (or Marion) Richardson.  He was born in New York, and died at Paw Paw, Mich., January 6(7), 1893.  He removed to Michigan about 1850, and settled in Arlington, Van Buren County.  He served six months in Company C, Third Michigan Cavalry, and was discharged for disability.  He served two terms as Sheriff of Van Buren County.  They resided in Covington, N. Y., and Arlington, Mich.

7563.  Milan U. Richardson 9, born Feb. 6, 1846; married, 1st, in 1869 ___*; 2d [July 1, 1885], Dora [Sutton], daughter of George and Frances (Hunt) Frey.  She was born in Ontario County, N. Y., in 1857.  (Her father was of French extraction.) [Dora Richardson died November 21, 1928, in Kalamazoo, MI]  He (Mr. Richardson**) removed to Michigan with his parents when six years of age.  He enlisted in 1863, when seventeen years old, in Co. C, 3d Michigan Cavalry, and served until the end of the Civil War; was mustered out at San Antonio, Tex., March 15, 1866, and returned to Paw Paw.  He was elected Registrar of Deeds of that County in 1872, and was in the real estate and abstract business.  He resided in Paw Paw, Mich., in 1895.  Children:  Fred. N. Richardson 10, born in 1870, died Sept. 16, 1895; Nellie Richardson 10, born in 1872, married Arthur Prentice.  Resided in Kalamazoo, Mich., in 1896.

INEZ RICHARDSON & JAMES MCCAHON FAMILY

Inez (Richardson) Matthews married 2nd James McCahon, a dentist, on May 20, 1886, in Paw Paw, Van Buren County, Michigan.  The McCahon family, including James' step-son, Charles Matthews, son Paul and daughter Pauline, were living in Newark, Licking County, Ohio, in 1900.  Inez died in Newark on August 2, 1930 and was buried in Paw Paw, Michigan.  Her obituary was in the Granville Times printed on August 7, 1930, page 3.

Paul McCahon married M. Kathleen Hawthorne, daughter of Lewis & Frances (Ralston) Hawthorne,  on October 18, 1915, in Licking Co., Ohio.

Nathaniel Richmond - Who Was Killed In Louisbourg Expedition

Nathaniel Richmond was born about 1700 and died in the Louisburg Exepedition, according to the Joshua Bailey Richmond "Richmond Family" book:



64. NATHANIEL RICHMOND 4, (Edward 3, John 2, John 1) was born in Taunton about 1700. He married, November 2, 1732, Alice Hackett, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Elliott) Hackett, born January 18, 1715. He was killed in the Louisburg Expedition in 1763*, and his widow married ---Finney**.

The descendants of Nathaniel 4 say that he was born about 1700; that he was killed at the siege of Louisburg; that he left a son Nathaniel who married his second cousin, Mary Richmond (daughter of John and Dighton (Mirick) Richmond; that this last Nathaniel was born about 1731, and died in 1813, at Camillus New York.

John Richmond, Nathaniel's grandfather married 2nd Abigail Rogers according to the Mayflower descendant publication:
