Hawley Harvey Crippen...was an American homeopath, ear and eye specialist and medicine dispenser. He was hanged in Pentonville Prison for the murder of his wife Cora Henrietta Crippen, and was the first criminal to be captured with the aid of wireless telegraphy.

Mary and John were the parents of Ezra Crippen (1745-1813) who married Tabitha Crippen.

Ezra had a son, Bradley Crippen (1783-1855), who married Esther* Hard, daughter of Philo and Concurrence (Hawley) Hard.  They moved to Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan.  Son, Philo Crippen (1809-1890), also lived in Coldwater.

Sarah (Richmond) Randall

#5449 SARAH MARIA RICHMOND (8) (Adam 7, Preserved 6, Adam 5, Stephen 4, John 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born in LeRoy, N.Y., October 20, 1822.  She married, December 30, 1841, James S. Randall, who was born August 10, 1816.  They moved from New York to Michigan.  He enlisted in the Thirteenth Michigan Infantry in the Civil War, and died in the hospital in Gallatin, Tenn., December 30, 1862.

7567. Frances Antoinette Randall, b. October 20, 1844; died Dec. 15, 1874
7568. Jay L. Randall, born in Breedsville, Mich., April 18, 1855; married Jan. 13, 1877 (or 30 March 1877), at Paw Paw, Mich., Josephine A., daughter of Russell Woodruff.  She was born in Michigan City, Ind., in 1863.  He was a merchant in Buchanan, Mich., 1896.  Children:  Charles L. Randall (10), born December 31, 1883; Nettie R. Randall (10), born 1889.

In addition to Charles and Nettie, Jay & Josephine had Bertie who died September 13, 1885 at age 4 months and also an unnamed infant who died on September 3, 1891 and its twin who died on May 20, 1891.

In 1850, James, Sarah and (Frances) Antoinette Randall were living in Sandstone, Jackson Co., Michigan.
Sarah, James, Frances and Jay were all living in Breedsville, Van Buren County, Michigan, in 1860.
In 1870 Sarah & J.L. Randall were living in Paw Paw, Van Buren County, Michigan.

After the death of his wife, Frances Antoinette, Jerome Clark Warner married 2nd Jennie Kelley on May 24, 1876.  He died on November 17, 1915.

 Charles L. Randall married Almira LaBar, daughter of John & Estelle (Willis) LaBar, on December 1, 1905, in Coldwater, Branch County, Michigan.

Nettie R. Randall married Ralph E. Morgan, son of James & Ella (Gonsolly) Morgan, in Van Buren County on July 5, 1910.

Jay L. Randall, son of James & Sarah (Richmond) Randall, died on October 4, 1912, in South Haven, Van Buren County, Michigan.  Jay's wife, Josephine, died January 26, 1937, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

James S. Randall was enlisted in the 13th Michigan Infantry, Company G.  There was a widow's pension filed in James S. Randall's name on August 25, 1863.

Sarah (Richmond) Randall may have been the person who died July 6, 1888; that death record does not have her parents listed and the birthdate is 1832 rather than 1822, but the place of birth (New York) is correct.
