Mrs. Cyrus H. S. (Nancy Richmond) Powers

James Richmond (Nancy's father) could be the brother of my Elijah Richmond.  I say could be because Elijah was named as the son of Edward(6) AND Edward(5) in the J. B. Richmond book. I'm also interested in this family because my maiden name is POWERS, although there is no relationship to the Cyrus & Nancy (Richmond) Powers family.

5275.  NANCY RICHMOND 8, (James 7, Edward 6, Edward 5, Benjamin 4, Edward 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born in Wayne, N. Y., May 15, 1818.  She married, in 1839, Cyrus H. S., son of John Powers of Pleasant Valley, Ill.  He was a farmer and stock-raiser in 1862.  They resided in Providence, Bureau County, Ill.

Cyrus & Nancy (Richmond) Powers were the parents of:

7427. Julia Powers who married Joseph Young
7428. John Powers who married [Eliza A. Partridge]
7429. Sarah Powers who married Walter O. Carpenter
7430. Philena Powers who married 1st Francis Lefever & 2nd Henry Buswell
7431. James R. Powers
7432. Mary Eliza Powers
7433. Cyrus C. Powers m. 1st Emma Brown; 2nd Jennie Lind Shepard
7434. William W. Powers

In 1850 the Cyrus Powers family was living in Wheeler, Steuben Co., New York.  In 1860 and 1870, Cyrus H. S. and Nancy Powers were living in Indiantown, Bureau Co., Illinois.  Their son, John & Eliza (Partridge) were living near them in 1870.
