#7428 - John & Eliza (Partridge) Powers, of Illinois

John Powers, born 1 November, 1841, in New York, to Cyrus & Nancy (Richmond) Powers [not part of my Michigan Powers family], and was their 1st son and 2nd child.

John Powers married Eliza Augusta Partridge, daughter of L. Augustus & Ellen (Miner)* Partridge (or Pattridge) of Peacham, Vermont. Her lineage can be found in the Genealogy of the descendants of John White of Wenham and Lancaster, Massachusetts, here. Eliza (Partridge) Powers died April 6, 1911 "at the Illinois farm," according to son Jerome's biography. Eliza's sister, Helen Partridge, married William B. Powers, John's younger brother.
