Amos, Almond And Edward Richmond

6063.  AMOS W. RICHMOND (8), (Alfred 7, George 6, Edward 5, Perez 4, Silvester 3*, Edward 2, John 1) was born August 1, 1853.  He married, first, June 3, 1874, [Susie] Annie Case [in Fenton, Genesee County, Michigan]; secondly, February 12, 1891, Mary A. Hogan (or Hoban).   * All of the descendants of Silvester (3) Richmond were Mayflower descendants.

Both Amos and first wife S. Annie (Case) Richmond were residents of Ortonville, Oakland Co., Michigan, when they were married in 1874.  His second marriage was held in St. Ignace, Mackinac Co., Michigan, in 1890.  Amos died 30 August 1914, at the Pontiac State Hospital in Oakland Co., Michigan; the cause of death was "exhaustion from insanity."  He was buried in Ortonville.

Almond C. Richmond, son of Alfred & Susan (Case) Richmond,  was a married man when he died on 11 December 1902 from typhoid fever.  He was buried in the Ortonville Cemetery.  His wife's name was Millie Matilda Hoffman.  They were married on July 25, 1899, in Genesee Co., Michigan.  Almond & Millie Richmond had a son, Edward A. Richmond.  Edward Richmond died December 30, 1912, in Arlington, Snohomish, Washington.  Millie (Hoffman) Richmond married 2nd James Fosburg on November 11, 1903, in Genesee Co., Michigan.

Twelve year old Edward A. Richmond died in a hunting accident.  The accident was recounted in the Seattle Daily Times on December 31, 1912:


 The Amos Richmond line died with the death of his grandson, Edward Richmond.
