Ransom Richmond - Civil War Soldier

RANSOM LESTER RICHMOND (8) (Greenleaf 7, Simeon 6, Ephraim 5, Josiah 4, Edward 3, John 2, John 1) was born in Andover, Vt., February 23, 1844, and died May 7, 1862, at Hamburgh, Tenn. He enlisted in the War of the Rebellion, September, 1861, in the Fifty-first Regiment of Illinois Volunteers [Co. B]. "He was a good son and soldier, beloved by all who knew him."
