Mary (Richmond) Paul In A Genealogy Journal

The author of a recent English publication upon American families says that William Paul of Taunton, who died 1704 and was born 1624 in Scotland, married Mary Richardson, daughter of John.  This is incorrect, since the will of Col. John Richmond of Taunton reveals the fact that Mrs. Paul was his daughter.  Was this William Paul a son of another William Paul of Taunton, 1638, who returned to York county, England?  Did he marry a Mary Richardson, daughter of John Richardson of Scotland?  W.W.
