Frederick Richmond's Descendants

5446. FREDERICK RICHMOND 8, (Adam 7, Preserved 6, Adam 5, Stephen 4, John 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born November 13, 1815, and died February 25, 1851.  He married, February 22, 1837, Laura E. Morris.

CHILDREN (1860):
7560.  Myron F.,  born Feb 27, 1842
7561  Vesta Estelle, born Nov. 12, 1848

The 1850 census included Frederick, Laura, Myron and Vesta, in Clinton Co., Michigan.

In the 1860 census, there's a blank space where a person's name should be.  The next person listed is Laura Stiles and then Vesta Richmond.  This family was living next door to Herman Le Roy Richmond.

Laura E. (Morris) Richmond probably married a Stiles.  Laura E. Stiles, who was born in Nelson, NY,  married 61 year old Samuel Case on June 15, 1873, in Clinton County, Michigan.  They were both still living when the 1880 census was taken.

Myron Richmond & Family

In 1870 Myron Richmond was living with his wife, Sarah, age 29, and daughter Cora, age 2, in Clinton Co., Michigan.  Emma Robbins, age 26, lived in the household and assisted with the housework.  Emma and Sarah Robbins were both born in New York.  Sarah Richmond, daughter of Linn & Florinda Robbins, died 11 March 1878.  Sarah and Emily Robbins were living in Parish, Oswego County, New York, with their parents Linus & Flavilla Robbins in 1860

Myron F. Richmond and Emma F. Robbins were married in Clinton Co., Michigan, on December 31, 1878.

In 1880 Myron, Emma, Cora, Ida and Jennie Richmond were living in St. Johns, Michigan.
On January 6, 1914 Myron F. Richmond married Mrs. Eliza Tinkham, daughter of James Henderson.  Myron had two previous marriages and Eliza had been married once previously.

Myron's daughter Cora married Frank Sutfin on March 24, 1888, at St. Johns, Clinton County, Michigan.  Charlie Harrison and Jennie F. Richmond were the witnesses.  Frank and Cora (Richmond) Sutvin had been married 12 years with no children and living in Owosso, Michigan, in 1900.  Frank was a carriage trimmer, the same occupation that was listed on the marriage record.  In 1920 the family was still in Shiawassee County and had a son, Glen, who was born in 1909.  In 1930 Cora was widowed.  Glenn Sutfin was living in Los Angeles when he registered for the WWII draft.

VESTA RICHMOND & FAMILY

Vesta Richmond married Robert Feare/Teare on December 4, 1864, in Greenbush, Clinton Co., Michigan.

In 1870 Robert, Vesta and son Leroy (age 4) were living in Greenbush.  [Side Note:  They were living right next door to my son-in-law's aunt's great-great grandmother, Elizabeth Butterfield! - Elizabeth married Francis Stiles and Vesta was living with Laura Stiles in 1860]  In 1880 Leroy was not living in the household with Robert and Vesta;  Leroy died on 20 August 1872.

On 15 January 1882, Vesta (Richmond) Feare married Eben Climer, (b. ca 1834 in Pennsylvania).  November 10, 1891, Vista Climer, age 44 (DOB ca 1848), died in Oakland Co., Michigan.  February 4, 1892, Eben Climer married Matilda Wilson; he had two previous marriages.  Eben had married Ann Salter on January 18, 1853. Eben died on Feb. 2, 1899, in Saginaw County.

Did Robert and Vesta must have gotten divorced. There was a Robert Teare family living in Saginaw County in 1910.  Robert Teare and family were living in Clinton County in 1900.
