Elsie Avaline (Richmond) Richardson & Family


5448.  ELSIE AVALINE RICHMOND 8 (Adam 7, Preserved 6, Adam 5, Stephen 4, John 3, Edward 2, John 1) was born November 13, 1820, and died at Paw Paw, Mich., March 7, 1894.  She married, January 21, 1839, Noble D., son of Marvin (or Marion) Richardson.  He was born in New York, and died at Paw Paw, Mich., January 6(7), 1893.  He removed to Michigan about 1850, and settled in Arlington, Van Buren County.  He served six months in Company C, Third Michigan Cavalry, and was discharged for disability.  He served two terms as Sheriff of Van Buren County.  They resided in Covington, N. Y., and Arlington, Mich.

7563.  Milan U. Richardson 9, born Feb. 6, 1846; married, 1st, in 1869 ___*; 2d [July 1, 1885], Dora [Sutton], daughter of George and Frances (Hunt) Frey.  She was born in Ontario County, N. Y., in 1857.  (Her father was of French extraction.) [Dora Richardson died November 21, 1928, in Kalamazoo, MI]  He (Mr. Richardson**) removed to Michigan with his parents when six years of age.  He enlisted in 1863, when seventeen years old, in Co. C, 3d Michigan Cavalry, and served until the end of the Civil War; was mustered out at San Antonio, Tex., March 15, 1866, and returned to Paw Paw.  He was elected Registrar of Deeds of that County in 1872, and was in the real estate and abstract business.  He resided in Paw Paw, Mich., in 1895.  Children:  Fred. N. Richardson 10, born in 1870, died Sept. 16, 1895; Nellie Richardson 10, born in 1872, married Arthur Prentice.  Resided in Kalamazoo, Mich., in 1896.

INEZ RICHARDSON & JAMES MCCAHON FAMILY

Inez (Richardson) Matthews married 2nd James McCahon, a dentist, on May 20, 1886, in Paw Paw, Van Buren County, Michigan.  The McCahon family, including James' step-son, Charles Matthews, son Paul and daughter Pauline, were living in Newark, Licking County, Ohio, in 1900.  Inez died in Newark on August 2, 1930 and was buried in Paw Paw, Michigan.  Her obituary was in the Granville Times printed on August 7, 1930, page 3.

Paul McCahon married M. Kathleen Hawthorne, daughter of Lewis & Frances (Ralston) Hawthorne,  on October 18, 1915, in Licking Co., Ohio.
