From the Port Huron Daily Times (Wednesday, 24 February 1909):
The death of Mrs. Sumner L. Richmond occurred at the home of her son, Charles, on the River Road about 3 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Richmond's maiden name was Camelia [sic] Stranahan. She was born in Clarence, Derry* [sic] county, New York, December 16th, 1824, and was married to Sumner L. Richmond, at Romeo, Mich., 1848. They moved to St. Clair in 1856 where Mr. Richmond died, December 15th, 1861. Two children were born, C. E. Richmond, of St. Clair, and a child that died in its infancy. The funeral will take place at the late residence Friday morning.
*There is no "Derry" county in New York; should be ERIE county.
