946.  ICHABOD RICHMOND married Pamelia Bettes of Brighton, Canada West, who was born about 1782.  They had fourteen children, who also had large families.  They resided in Brighton.

"...Sylvester’s parents, David and Eleanor Richmond, left Canada sometime before 1850 and moved to Ashtabula, Ohio. The Richmonds were still in Ashtabula in 1850."  Sons of David and Eleanor mentioned were Webster Joshua Richmond, David Richmond, and Sylvester Richmond.  (Webster) Joshua Richmond was killed at Gettysburg and is buried there.  A daughter, Rhoda, is listed with the family in the 1850 census, and another daughter (Naomi)*, age 18, was also with them.
