The newspaper article focused on Pam's great-great grandmother, Dulcinea L. (Harris) Payne, daughter of Jason & Sarah Lucretia Richmond Harris. Sarah Lucretia was the sister of the aforementioned Edward A. Richmond and is #5282 in the Joshua Richmond Bailey book (on page 474). Pam's family and my Richmond line merge with Ebenezer Richmond's father, Edward.
The article noted that Dulcenia left her husband and son back in New York and moved to Spokane where she opened a business with her son-in-law, Everett Spicer. Lorenzo Payne was enumerated with his son Ambrose in Allegany Co., NY, in 1900 and was listed as a widower. His wife, Dulcina Payne was in Spokane, Washington, in 1900, so Lorenzo was not a widower.
