Lineage Makes Milwaukee Newspaper

A Milwaukee newspaper thought enough of Mrs. Edgar Lee Bell's RICHMOND heritage to print it. A copy of the article can be found here at wisconsinhistory.org.

Who was Mrs. Edgar Lee Bell and what was her Richmond lineage? I found a Clara Greer who married Edgar Bell in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Clara Greer was listed in the J.B. Richmond book (see below):
In 1880, Clara was enumerated with her parents (at familysearch.org):

John W. GREER Self M Male W 34 IN Laborer IRE IRE
Ruth GREER Wife M Female W 30 IN Keeping House OH NY
Clara GREER Dau S Female W 9 IN IN IN
Charles GREER Son S Male W 8 IN IN IN

Mini S. GREER Dau S Female W 11M IN IN IN
Margret GREER Sister S Female W 37 IN Domestic Servant IRE IRE
Census Place 8th Ward District 120, Fort Wayne, Allen, Indiana

In 1920 Ruth Greer was in Allen Co., Indiana as a widow with son Charles and his wife, Clara. Edgar Lee & Clara (Greer) Bell and son Richmond Bell were living on 24th Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when the 1920 census was taken.
